The look on their sad faces as they walk away

[…] my career was first and then my family. While my family was suffering, I was also sad to see how hard it was trying to maintain my work life, that I couldn’t keep it together at home. I’m sure this is the same for everyone. But it got to the point where it was awful for my health – mentally and physically. Working 80+ hours a week and the kids asking for mommy but she’s still on the computer screen.

In my opinion, all kids and teenagers should grow up without [social media] but it’s impossible to control. At least make sure you set time for yourself without any distraction, ban your phone when you eat and when you’re spending time with someone in real life for example (even if it happens less often nowadays).

What do you owe your parents?

something I often hear, the fact that we owe everything to our parents. Well, I tend to disagree. We didn’t choose to be born, we didn’t choose if we wanted to be born. They did. Our parents wanted children for their desire, for them. It is true that, as children, we need food, clothes, a roof, money for our studies. And they did everything to give us that.
