I chose a couple locations and told the Universe that I wanted to be there. I was willing to compromise on the job, but not the setting or the living situation. I also wanted a specific sort of housing. I will not live with a roommate, no matter how perfect s/he is. I have already decided that even living with Jesus would be a challenge. Though, that whole water to wine thing would be handy. Anyway I got clear and specific. I was feeling this process way more than previously. I had found my vibe.

For me, this website is a way to reject the media’s portrayal of the sports industry. This is me, putting men in the penalty box, and taking the sticks, gloves, puck, ball, glove, helmet, taking everything back.

Someone extremely close to me calls this manipulation the “World as Myth” or pantheistic solipsism, which is when certain writers bring things and events to existence through their minds.

In my opinion, all kids and teenagers should grow up without [social media] but it’s impossible to control. At least make sure you set time for yourself without any distraction, ban your phone when you eat and when you’re spending time with someone in real life for example (even if it happens less often nowadays).

They know that the media is desperate to fill its space, so their counterpoints will get attention and will help create an alternate reality.

They also don’t acknowledge—critically or otherwise—the efforts already taken by companies to address many of the issues they raise. Instead, they rely on commentary from those who haven’t been on the inside for many years.

My two most often questions when buying are 1.) where do I put this in the house, and 2.) will I use this? That’s why we don’t usually have “special occasion items” at home (except, of course, Christmas decorations). Keyword is “usually”, because we’re not perfect either, but we try our best.

Speaking up is a very scary thing to do, especially when you’re going against the norms or the only one speaking up. But I’ve also learned this year that sometimes in situations by not speaking up at all, your silence can speak numbers and it can seem you agree with something that is wrong. And sometimes you will have to speak up and stand up. In the TED talk by Cathrine Sandland, she does a really amazing job explaining why we need to speak up when things are too important to stay silent. I like to believe I’m slowly gaining confidence in my voice and speaking up when it matters most to me and others.

Though President Trump has been exceptionally vocal about the negative effects of fake news, even going as far as to publicly accuse several news outlets of participating in the activity, there are many who believe his campaign is using fake news accounts as a tactic to get him ahead in the election race. For example, several prominent news outlets such as the Washington Post and the New York Times have claimed that President Trump’s campaign is built on disinformation.
